NOOM . NOEMIE DAHAN
The opening seconds of the French version of “Amour Quotidien” by Noémie Dahan are breathtaking. When Dahan sings with a slightly husky voice “Petits mensonges, mensonges muets” (“Little lies, silent lies”), for a moment it seems as if it were Corinne Allal. The illusion fades as the song unfolds, revealing a refined, beautiful interpretation imbued with what feels like deep nostalgia.

From a musical perspective, Dahan and her partner BENJA (Ofir Benyaminov, member of the band TATRAN) have subtly arranged “Amour Quotidien” in the image of ripples in water when a stone is thrown into a lake—growing wider and wider until they brush against the purple water lilies and the multitude of aquatic plants.
